The French Riviera, Monaco, Nice: a touch of the dolce vita and the promise of an enchanting backdrop. At the end of the 1950s, a group of artists was formed around three pioneers of contemporary art: Yves Klein, Arman and Martial Raysse. It was defined as the "Nice School" for the first time in 1960 in an article by Claude Rivière.
