FRIEZE MASTERS 2025

October 17th - October 19th

For Frieze Masters 2025 we have prepared a selection of paintings to highlight the production that dominated art market in the 16th and 17th centuries. As our painters worked on commission and art was used to decorate pious interiors, they had to be creative in order to stand out while appropriating religious subjects.

The Master of the Legend of Saint Lucy used the very famous theme of the Virgin and Child to paint the city of Bruges in the background, demonstrating his mastery of both textiles and architecture.

Pieter Brueghel the Younger, following in his father's footsteps, chose the Sermon of Saint John the Baptist to depict a crowd of many different characters and suggest harmony despite divergent religious beliefs.

Johann König amplifies movement and intense expressions with his Conversion of Saint Paul, while the Master of Embroidered Foliage focuses on the human body with Adam and Eve.

Never short of ideas, our painters continually created and invented based on what they saw.
We would be delighted to show and tell you more at our booth A01.
